Position Title: Sandwich Artists
Reports To: Shift Manager / Assistant Manager / Manager
Position Summary:
Performs a variety of duties relating to QSR restaurant-style service
including greeting and serving customers, cold & hot food preparation,
stocking counters and steam table, and maintaining sanitation standards.
Responsible customer service is a major component of this position.
Tasks And Competencies:
- Checks supplies in counter area and restocks items to ensure
a sufficient supply throughout the shift.
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the front-of-the-house
including all tables, floors, windows, and beverage station, Restroom,
etc.
- Greets customers and takes their orders – use cash register
to records the order and computes the amount of the bill – collects
payment from guest and make change.
- Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, company
police & procedures.
- Collects cash, checks, or charge payment from guest. Makes
change for cash transaction, verifies identification for checks
and prepares charge vouchers for credit card purchases.
- Counts money, checks, and charge payments in cash drawer at
end of shifts.
- Complete cold & hot food preparation assignments neatly,
accurately, and in a timely fashion.
- Maintains proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards
while preparing food, serving food and clean-up.
- Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal
service as assigned.
- Maintains professional appearance at all times, clean and well
groomed as per standards. Displays a positive and enthusiastic
approach to all assignments.
- Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and
explains it to customers accurately.
- Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner when dealing with customers.
Pre-requisites:
- Education: High School or Equivalent
- Experience: Demonstrated ability to understand and implement
written and verbal instruction.
- Physical: Positions requires bending, standing, and walking
the entire workday. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Cleaning duties
such as wiping tables and small equipment, sweeping and refilling
of stock.

Position Title: Shift Manager

Position Summary:
The Shift Manager directly supervises the operations of a specified
shift and ensures that schedules of activity and established quality
standards are maintained. This includes the coordination of the
individual and collective efforts of assigned staff; as well as
maintains high quality standards in regards to food production and
preparation, sanitation and safety and expediency of food items,

Tasks And Competencies:
- Demonstrates complete understanding of company requirements
and interprets their intent accurately to staff members.
- Monitors daily performance of staff and ensures compliance
with established timetables.
- Monitors quality of products and services produced by staff
and ensures compliance with established standards.
- Monitors sanitation and food handling practices of assigned
shifts and ensures staff compliance with established standards.
- Supervise staff in a consistently fair and firm manner. Maintains
steady productivity through close observation. Provides direction
when necessary.
- Adjusts daily schedule and shift personnel to complete essential
duties when the need arises.
- Trains staff, as assigned, and assists with orientation of
new employees in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitors customer traffic and makes appropriate adjustment
to decrease waiting time.
- Ensures that supplies are utilized properly and cost-effectively
as per standards.
- Ensures that all food and supplies are stored and /or maintained
under proper conditions as per standards.
- Inspect all units storage facilities each day so that proper
temperatures and conditions are maintained, food is covered, labeled
and dated.
- Displays team-building skills and always handles all assignments
with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Maintains professional appearance as per standards.
Pre-requisites:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: A minimum of Two (2) years as a counter server
or equivalent position.
- Physical: Position requires walking and giving directions most
of the working day. May be required to lift trays of food or food
items weighing up to 50 pounds.
